PTECH supports students through all types of career exploration. Our ultimate goal is to help students develop a career plan for after high school, no matter what that plan entails. However, there are a few specific Idaho industries that have jobs in high demand right now. Here are some examples. Most of these jobs require a one- or two-year degree, with jobs starting at well above minimum wage.

Technology

AVG STARTING PAY: $26-31/hour or $54,000-64,000/year

EMPLOYEE TRAITS: Problem solver, detail oriented, multi-tasker, thinks outside the box, likes to build/fix things

POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS: Ednetics, T-Sheets, MetaGeek, other tech firms. Many large companies unrelated to technology have their own internal tech teams as well. This includes companies like Simplot, Albertsons, and other large corporations.
