POSITION SUMMARY: The PTECH Coach will focus on supporting students who are enrolled in high school or a higher education institution. This will be done through high quality, high touch coaching which reinforces relevant value propositions, provides accountability and facilitates successful personal development. Coaches start at this level and are expected to complete various coach training programs, engage in observation and debrief processes, and complete certifications while developing and fine tuning the art and science of coaching. Tenured coaches continue to work in this level until business needs create higher level coaching opportunities and job performance warrants position advancement.

LOCATION: Boise (preferred), Coeur d’Alene or Sandpoint

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Build relationships with students quickly, through multiple channels (phone, email, text) to proactively work to improve student experience, engagement with coaching, and success
  • Build trusting relationships with a diverse student population by delivering personalized, constructive, engaging, motivating, and informative coaching sessions
  • Coach students on developing a plan to achieve their academic and career goals by assessing on values/goals, needs and obstacles
  • Maintain accurate student information in contact management system(s)
  • Contact and schedule coaching sessions with students, as needed.
  • Manage confidential information and provide accurate, direct feedback to management and work team to foster continuous improvement of the student experience
  • Project, assess and report on student success and persistence in program
  • Progress through coaching training program at expected pace in order to grow and learn as a coaching professional
  • Contribute as both an individual coach and a team member in order to further PTECH’s mission
  • Collaborate with staff in various roles within PTECH to support and maintain the health of the program
  • Innovate and create systems/processes to help evolve the PTECH program
  • Perform related duties as requested
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the state of Idaho

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Strong verbal communication skills including phone and in-person
